What Is GreenQuest?
GreenQuest is a collaboration between private (retail sponsors) and public sector groups (local utility providers) to create an online platform whereby home owners can access their residential energy data in a way they have never been able to do in the past. Home owners can definitively identify how energy is being consumed within their home and target inefficient areas for repair or replacement. They can also benchmark their usage patterns and compare themselves against similar homes nearby, and get rewarded for doing so.

How Does GreenQuest Work?
Smart meter data is accessed by GreenQuest through the local utility.
The data is meter specific only and no individual home owner information is linked until the home
owner registers through the GreenQuest site and the meter data is then linked to the home.
The home owner will also input other details of their home that will help to create
benchmark comparisons i.e. square footage, number of occupants, etc..
Data from the smart meter is analyzed and key indicators will demonstrate usage patterns within
the home.
Email alerts can also be sent when certain thresholds are reached.
